Why it’s possible
Three reasons small batches work at FHQPAK.
Most factories can’t profitably run 1,000-unit custom orders. We built our process specifically so we can — without cutting corners on quality.
01
Digital printing line — no plates, no waste
Traditional factories need physical printing plates for each colour. At 50,000 pcs, the plate cost is worth it. At 1,000, it isn’t — so they won’t take the order. Our digital printing line eliminates plates entirely, making small runs just as cost-effective to run as large ones.
02
Factory-direct — no middlemen absorbing margin
Trading companies and agents add 15–30% to the price of every order. Because we’re a direct manufacturer, that margin stays in your pocket — which means a 1,000-piece order is priced at factory cost, not inflated through a supply chain.
03
Efficient production scheduling — small runs fit around large ones
We schedule small batch orders to run during natural gaps in our large-volume production calendar. This means no excess idle time, no wasted materials, and no premium surcharge passed on to you just for ordering less than 50,000 units.
Who orders 1,000 pcs?
Low MOQ is built for these buyers.
If any of these sounds like you, small batch custom packaging makes sense. We work with all three.

Client story
“Every factory we contacted had a 30,000 minimum. We were launching with a farmer’s market run of 1,200 cups and couldn’t afford to tie up $8,000 in packaging on day one. FHQPAK quoted us within 24 hours, had a proof to us in two days, and the cups were in our hands 13 days after we approved the design. The quality was genuinely better than what we’d seen from bigger brands.”

Common questions
Low MOQ questions we hear most.
Is 1,000 pcs really the minimum, or does it go up when I actually enquire?
1,000 pcs per design, per size is our real minimum — not a marketing number. It applies to paper cups, PET cups, flexible pouches and most of our product range. Some specialty products (e.g. multi-layer foil pouches with complex valve systems) have a slightly higher starting quantity due to material minimums. We’ll tell you the exact MOQ for your product when you request a quote.
Can I order two different designs at 1,000 pcs each in the same order?
Yes. The 1,000-piece minimum applies per design, not per order. So you can order 1,000 pcs of Design A and 1,000 pcs of Design B simultaneously — they’ll ship together and you’ll receive one invoice. This is very popular with coffee brands testing two seasonal designs or Amazon sellers A/B testing packaging artwork.
Are there plate fees or setup costs on a 1,000-piece order?
No plate fees on digital print runs (our recommended method for orders under 10,000 pcs). The price you receive in your quote is the full cost — there are no hidden setup charges added later. For larger orders using flexographic printing, there are plate costs, but we will tell you upfront and these are typically amortised into the unit cost so you’re not surprised.
Will 1,000 custom cups cost significantly more per unit than 10,000?
Yes — unit cost is higher at lower quantities, as it is with any manufacturer. The trade-off is cash flow and risk: at 1,000 pcs you’re not committing to 10× the inventory before you know your design works. We’re transparent about pricing: request a quote and we’ll show you the unit cost at 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 pcs side by side so you can make the right decision for your business.
What's the fastest I can receive a 1,000-piece order?
Once you approve your design proof, standard production is 10–15 business days. We then offer express air freight to the USA, Canada, EU and Australia — typically 3–5 additional business days. So door-to-door from proof approval: approximately 13–20 business days in most cases. Express production (7 business days) is available at a surcharge for urgent orders.
Can I get samples before placing a 1,000-piece order?
Yes. We offer free blank (unprinted) samples from our standard product range. You’ll receive actual cups, pouches or bags — the exact material and dimensions you’d order — so you can test fit, feel and capacity before committing. Custom-printed samples are available at a nominal cost that’s credited against your first production order. Request free samples →
